DR. SASHA'S STORY

I excelled in the arts and sciences.

I struggled with anxiety and depression.

I played competitive sports and musical instruments.

I struggled with eating and nutrition.

I loved biology and painting.

And I knew that something wasn't quite right...

By the doctor's standards, everything was fine. I was incredibly healthy. But I was always stressed, worried, and tired. My stomach always hurt, my digestion was always off, my weight fluctuated, and I constantly had headaches.

By the professor's standards, everything was fine. I received my degree in Neuroscience. But I knew that the lifestyle of a surgeon was not for me.

Unsure of where to find my place, I took my time to re-evaluate the life I wanted to live and figure out how I could make the biggest positive impact on the lives of others. I soon realized that our healthcare system does not truly focus on "health" care - instead, it is focuses on "sick" care. I knew that I wanted to help people prevent further illness and guide people to find wellness. After a while, I decided to turn a weakness into a strength by going back to Graduate school to study Clinical Nutrition. I began to study the interconnectivity of the gut and brain... And that's when I finally found answers.

I learned about my polycystic ovary syndrome.

I learned about my vagus nerve dysfunction.

I learned about my genetic polymorphisms, including MTHFR, COMT, and CYP1A2.

I learned about my food sensitivities

And I found my place.

I realized that the way for me to have the most significant impact on people's lives was to share this experiential knowledge and help people find their answers. Whether your journey has been a few weeks or a few years, you have found a place where you are understood.
